Welcome to my artist's website. Here at cressart.com you will be able to view many images of my paintings. Work is underway on a tandem site, www.janecressedgar.com which I hope will be easier to edit, and will display newer works and some of the feature articles about my work. For the moment this site is more of a static gallery; pricing information may not be up to date.
Thanks for stopping by, -Jane Cress Edgar The images you see on my site represent just a sampling of my work. Recent Shows and Activities: * One person show, South Holland, Illinois. "Heading Home" consisted of 30 works, displayed from June - August 2006. * Three paintings juried into three Chicago exhibitions for June and July (See News & Events). * Four accepted to "Architecture & History" at The Next Picture Show. (An Honorable Mention) * The Byron Bank Exhibit of 20 of my Ogle County works. * A week of painting with the 2006 Fields Project, June 17 - June 25. * And The Next Picture Show Summer Member Artist Exhibit which opened June 23. I showed five works there. The most exciting recent distinctions have been the purchase of "MEMORIAL FIELD" 60 x 72 for the new Dixon, Illinois Public Safety Building;and the printing of my painting "PASTORALE MENACED" in the HER MARK 2006 DATEBOOK, by Woman Made Gallery of Chicago.
